District 11 Meeting – July 11, 2010
The meeting was held at the
Roadhouse Bar in Atchison, KS. The meeting was started
by Doyle at 3:20 PM with a moment of silence for our
brothers and sisters serving abroad and a special note
for our brother Jerry whom passed recently.
Secretary Report: The
minutes to be read in the newsletter. Motion to accept
was made by Shorty and Pat seconded - all approved.
Treasury Report: Deb
reported the financials as of the end of June. It
appears that Field Events weekend went okay for us
considering the storm we had to endure.
Webmaster Report:
Mike reported we are all up to date on our district
site. We would like to have pictures from anyone whom
might have saved their camera from our disaster on Field
Events weekend. Facebook numbers have reached over 100.
Products Report: Lea
reported we sold out of the Field Events shirts. We are
looking to order some district shirts – this item was
tabled. We are also looking to order REDO shirts for our
Field Events make-up date.
State Report: Doyle
reported that all members need 12 hours of work logged
to get early entry to the Labor Day Rally. Work weekends
begin 1st weekend in August and are every
weekend till the rally. District 11 is going to put the
stage and tent up on the Saturday before the rally,
starting at 9 am.
Assistant District Rep
Report: Rusty had nothing to report – YEAH!
Atchison County Rep Report:
Brad had nothing to report.
Doniphan County Rep Report:
Peterman was MIA.
Leavenworth County Rep
Report: Lea had nothing to report.
Brown County Rep Report:
Pat discussed the 4-County poker run on the 17th,
with 100% payback. Pat noted ‘Thanks’ to all whom
weathered the storm for Field Events, special ‘Thanks’
to Oliver Smith because this gentleman made it possible
for everyone to get out of the field that weekend.
Motion was made by Donnie to stop during the poker run
to thank Oliver for his help, all approved with
applause.
New business: Field
Events improvements needed include stage area, tent
repairs and/or replacement. Shorty made a motion for
September 25th for a REDO of Field Events for
all of us whom rode out that horrific storm and Lea
seconded – all approved. Please join us for our second
attempt at District 11’s Field Events – September 25,
2010. There was some discussion about our
Century/Halloween party coming at the end of October.
Motion was made to change the date
of our next meeting from August 14 because the PREZ
Memorial Poker Run is on this date as well. We will move
our meeting to the prior Sunday – August 8th
- at the Perry Lake District 11 campsite at 2 pm.
The door prize drawing was held –
the meeting was closed at 4:35 PM.
