Doyle
started the meeting at 3:07 with a moment of silence
observed for all our fallen brothers and sisters.
Secretary Report: Kinky reading of the minutes from
the previous meeting. Mike motioned to accept, Shorty
seconded, all approved.
Treasury Report: Deb reviewed the monthly report for
January. Doyle motioned to accept, Mo seconded, all
approved.
Products Report: Stacey commented that she had
received an email from Ruth concerning people wanting
different types of clothing items for products - not
just t-shirts. Lea discussed possibly selling state
products at our events.
Webmaster Report: Mike stated that everything is up
to date on our district website. He mentioned that a
color change was made on the website for better
visibility on mobile devices. He noted that District 11
is now on Facebook as well.
Asst
District Rep Report: Rusty read a letter that was
received from Rose White at the Leavenworth Assistance
Center thanking all the ‘bikers’ that participated in
the Toys for Tots run. This article was apparently sent
to editor and published in the local newspaper as well.
Atchison County Rep Report: Brad was MIA, Jody
filled in for him – suggesting a complete overhaul of
the category/classification process used for our Mothers
Day Bike Show. Discussion was held and it was suggested
that we vote and finalize the new categories for the
bike show at the March meeting - Pat motioned to accept,
Mike second, all approved.
Brown
County Rep Report: Pat mentioned that the flyer for
the next Pool & Dart tournament was wrong and needed
updates. He reminded everyone that the BCDS Bike Show is
scheduled for April 11th and the Pool & Dart
tournament/District meeting for the month of April will
be held on April 17th. Rusty will update the
flyer, calendar, and other communications as needed.
Doniphan County Rep Report: Steve was unable to
attend.
Leavenworth County Rep Report: Lea mentioned that
Mary had her baby. It was suggested and approved that we
send her our Congratulations and a gift card.
Old
Business: Reminder – the March Pool & Dart tourney
will be held on March 6th in Wathena at the
VFW following the District meeting. All are welcome to
attend and the grill will be open at the VFW for the
Pool & Dart tournament for food items.
New
Business: Lots of discussion was held about Field
events. A committee will be formed to coordinate
activities specific to Field Events – Pat will
coordinate the committee. Jaws has stepped up and been
very active thus far with sponsors, vendors, and
coordinating other activities. The landowner was present
and is ready to throw one hell of a party. Information
about the new Field Events site location is available

Voting
was conducted on t-shirt designs for Field Events - Lil
Linda’s design was chosen. Trish and Lea will be
handling the coordination and purchasing of Field Events
shirts - be sure to get yours cause they are going to
look fantastic.
Mike
welcomed our Nebraska Abate brother who attended the
meeting for support of the helmet legislation in our
neighboring state.
Dave
Buster won the door prize.
The next
meeting will be held on March 6th at the VFW
in Wathena at 3:00 PM followed by the March Pool & Dart
tournament at 5:00 PM. Motion was made by Mo to close
the meeting, seconded by Lea – meeting ended at 4:46 PM.
